Geodetic Engineering focuses on the precise measurement and mapping of the Earth’s surface, gravity field, and orientation in space. Technologies like GNSS, remote sensing, and GIS are used to track land movement and build the coordinate systems required for global infrastructure. The discipline processes physical measurements into reliable spatial data to solve mapping and positioning challenges. 

To support these goals, the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) of the Department of Geodetic Engineering UGM offers a pathway for students to gain global expertise in this field. This globally-oriented program is designed to equip future leaders with a strong academic foundation, international exposure, and cross-cultural perspectives, which are essential qualities for solving future geospatial challenges. Bagi alumni dan mahasiswa Teknik Geodesi UGM yang ingin mempelajari pemetaan 3D teliti berbasiskan points cloud bisa segera bergabung dan mendaftar sebagai peserta Workshop Teknologi Terkini dalam Pemetaan 3D Teliti tersebut.

Departemen Teknik Geodesi, Universitas Gadjah Mada bekerja sama dengan Department of Geomatics, National Cheng Kung University Taiwan menyelenggarakan short course mengenai penggunaan UAV photogrammetry untuk pembuatan model 3D. Professor Jiann Yeou Rau akan memberikan materi selama 12 hari dari tanggal 27 Januari sampai 7 Februari 2020 di Ruang Sidang I Gedung Departemen Teknik Geodesi UGM.
