Identity of Master of Geomatics Engineering Study Program

Master of Geomatics Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FT UGM) is Indonesia’s leading graduate program in mapping and geospatial technology. The Master of Geomatics Engineering program at FT UGM aims to train experts and professionals who have a deep understanding of geospatial technology and are able to apply it in various practical contexts, including mapping, environmental monitoring, regional planning, natural resource management, and other fields.

The program curriculum includes core courses covering principles of mapping, geographic information systems (GIS), photogrammetry, remote sensing, spatial analysis, satellite image processing, and geospatial software development. In addition, there are also elective courses that allow students to focus on specific areas according to their interests and needs. Learning is done through a combination of lectures, discussions, laboratory practicum, research projects, and internships in related industries or institutions. Students can also engage in faculty-led scientific research and collaborative projects with industry.

The program is supported by experienced lecturers who are experts in the field of geospatial technology and have strong connections with related industries and institutions. The study program provides the latest facilities and software needed to support learning and research in the geospatial field, including a fully equipped mapping and GIS laboratory. The program actively collaborates with industries, government agencies, and research institutions to develop joint projects, facilitate student internships, and bring the latest updates in geospatial technology into the curriculum.

Achievements: The program has produced successful graduates who contribute to the development of geospatial technology in Indonesia. Some graduates can be found working as academics, researchers, industry professionals, or government officials at various levels. The Master of Geomatics Engineering program at FT UGM is a good choice for those who are interested in exploring geospatial technology by getting a high-quality education and preparing themselves for a promising career in the field.

Vision and Mission of Geomatics Engineering Master Program
